It is a bit unusual because it has reverse contrast (sometimes called inverse contrast), that is, the letters are thick where normally they are thin and vice versa. Serif fonts with reverse contrast were popular in the 19th century for advertising and display purposes. As a result these fonts have an old-fashioned or wild-west look. San-serif fonts with reverse contrast have an uncommon look that is quirky and modernistic. Revecon is legible but seems inappropriate for lengthy text. It can be useful for display purposes such as advertising and similar uses where one wants something simple but a bit unusual and odd.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwKBWqA4ybB9RZpOtuiN9Ye9T17Eef94LtQk9xvbjA0Q6ko44bJo1JdYCp94sfu4s_pgcG7NKgYSdayg0g1juGS5d9kQGzIQf6KjzMFj7lAEnTN6CmbtaBDV5VGq57jTF7fSGqaJ-QVVI4spi9E_7-vMHu4xwyexqHYL6agbgKkT6ZODHwM76zO0a3u9U/s1200/Revecon4NoHype.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwKBWqA4ybB9RZpOtuiN9Ye9T17Eef94LtQk9xvbjA0Q6ko44bJo1JdYCp94sfu4s_pgcG7NKgYSdayg0g1juGS5d9kQGzIQf6KjzMFj7lAEnTN6CmbtaBDV5VGq57jTF7fSGqaJ-QVVI4spi9E_7-vMHu4xwyexqHYL6agbgKkT6ZODHwM76zO0a3u9U/w640-h320/Revecon4NoHype.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>The Revecon family has three weights with nine styles. I could not find a typeface that matched it so decided to create one, which became DecoSpring-Regular. It is caps only, with an alternative set of capitals on the lower-case keys. Characters with very thick stems invite interior decoration and I opted for floral decorations. DecoSpring-Flowers can be used alone or it can be layered on top of the regular style to create colored flowers as shown below. Changing the width of the bolder stem resulted in two more style, the light and thing styles. Another set of four styles, the Simple set, was formed by eliminating the split in the stems by merging the two parts. All the DecoSpring faces are display faces to be used in small doses, and especially the bolder ones, at large point sizes,</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEho00COQZJ1In-YWkhVm-BuF9RUbdO3Z2DZkj18hvXx4-pzTQrIpspOrNcNkrMyOt5eP1AKKeYoGnTqzdUNLI5-HQnIQNWGjjWoulwLcIfR5HXI7l3pSMCL14FBSrJO6HXeFbTXS0n6f7FkABvjAKH1Uk-JG-c59xdwxGQJFnm8u61GxZqYqcTPY9X_kg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="376" data-original-width="645" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEho00COQZJ1In-YWkhVm-BuF9RUbdO3Z2DZkj18hvXx4-pzTQrIpspOrNcNkrMyOt5eP1AKKeYoGnTqzdUNLI5-HQnIQNWGjjWoulwLcIfR5HXI7l3pSMCL14FBSrJO6HXeFbTXS0n6f7FkABvjAKH1Uk-JG-c59xdwxGQJFnm8u61GxZqYqcTPY9X_kg=s16000" /></a></div>Seven of the eight styles are illustrated above. To get the tessellating effect, the two sets of letters (and numbers and some symbols) must alternate, and this is done automatically in applications that support the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt). Vasetters is monospaced and comes in two weights. The regular weight is tightly spaced, which should not be a problem at large point sizes. At small point sizes adjacent letters can be colored differently or the character spacing can be increased. The lighter weight can be used alone or layered above the regular weight to create the effect of hollow lettering. Vasetters is fun, bizarre, weird, and obviously a decorative display font.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtJiFZoINLJBUvVmLgekBUf42Z-cPTuNesIRVStrY-x_jKgSGzafKqWwPMfvTzlXse98TKhp2FDLvNvzSeeK1QvidpWW60Zm3B_Hn4cDrZOyMi8rf-N5KwcjgvTHKlBapwGFnQa4KsKqcd4jfvo48B5XfGkyXC3Xe0bSCOW2U7OMYllZnRQrw06ius/s804/Screen%20Shot%202023-03-28%20at%2010.05.30%20PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="573" data-original-width="804" height="456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtJiFZoINLJBUvVmLgekBUf42Z-cPTuNesIRVStrY-x_jKgSGzafKqWwPMfvTzlXse98TKhp2FDLvNvzSeeK1QvidpWW60Zm3B_Hn4cDrZOyMi8rf-N5KwcjgvTHKlBapwGFnQa4KsKqcd4jfvo48B5XfGkyXC3Xe0bSCOW2U7OMYllZnRQrw06ius/w640-h456/Screen%20Shot%202023-03-28%20at%2010.05.30%20PM.png" width="640" /></a></div>Vasetters is available from <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/collections/vasetters-font-ingrimayne-type?tab=individualStyles" target="_blank">myfonts</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/vasetters" target="_blank">fontspring</a>.Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-10396781449735033882023-03-21T11:27:00.004-07:002023-03-21T20:20:29.696-07:00RensGazet<p>RensGazet is a decorative blackletter typeface with elaborate upper-case letters and condensed lower-case characters. It was inspired by the masthead of a short-lived weekly newspaper, <i>The Rensselaer Gazette</i>, which was published from 1857 until 1860. I could not find any existing digitized fonts that replicated this old typeface, so I decided to create an interpretation of it. I had samples of few letters in large point sizes and a number of others at a small point size, though these were blurry and not sharply defined. As a result, this typeface is undoubtedly considerably different from the original. Also, my spacing is much tighter than that in the source samples.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVKgEdOnt9o_nxLIgoCnAo1w3_93niNUlCGdQG5ho4XhL2TRvjT3YJ7t8MeTMM_jlJbccNo_GthxBsUQAJIwemwludQH8roOwLfJJdF8wZQcYoVNoMwzl52Hr70MukePAeDFM2Ew4-N3rXCCs88F4E1taHcD6uF2EGsbAHQyMWzVEcQBcMS9MuzbeM/s696/Screen%20Shot%202023-03-21%20at%201.21.37%20PM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="467" data-original-width="696" height="430" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVKgEdOnt9o_nxLIgoCnAo1w3_93niNUlCGdQG5ho4XhL2TRvjT3YJ7t8MeTMM_jlJbccNo_GthxBsUQAJIwemwludQH8roOwLfJJdF8wZQcYoVNoMwzl52Hr70MukePAeDFM2Ew4-N3rXCCs88F4E1taHcD6uF2EGsbAHQyMWzVEcQBcMS9MuzbeM/w640-h430/Screen%20Shot%202023-03-21%20at%201.21.37%20PM.png" width="640" /></a></div><p>RensGazet is available from <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/collections/rens-gazet-font-ingrimayne-type" target="_blank">myfonts.com</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/rensgazet" target="_blank">fontspring</a>.</p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-65804157726139127342023-01-04T07:58:00.001-08:002023-01-13T18:56:03.109-08:00NarrowWay & NarrowPath<p>In November, after seeing a number of highly condensed sans-serif fonts in use, I realized that my catalog was very weak in condensed fonts. I decided to create one and began with an elongated O. The rest of the letters were based on that width and height. This font became NarrowWay Ultracondensed. From there I altered it with thinner stems (Light Ultracondensed) and then widened it and created three weights for a condensed width. Widening this condensed width, I call the results a regular width, though it is still a very condensed font. None of these has a true lower case, but rather have alternative shaped letters, some based on lower-case forms, in place of a true lower case. I could find only a few fonts on myfonts.com that are more condensed than NarrowWay-Ultracondensed. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjldrsSfw1Iy4S-eyHrCTzJiDfHOTnAElRixi6gEeRJ_4aR8HCZYycPBED4EvU2-KqDyAqBGIz0NC0ffuPa-ivdH1fBC5y2whSZqUXEjUw4mODaJ4BwTXLChhEApOeQGM8WxXZL8__u3xaePehhhakZPQZMGodYZT1Q8CMV_xQxSI7IVw5xdH1bUbTP/s668/Screen%20Shot%202022-12-08%20at%204.20.30%20PM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="381" data-original-width="668" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjldrsSfw1Iy4S-eyHrCTzJiDfHOTnAElRixi6gEeRJ_4aR8HCZYycPBED4EvU2-KqDyAqBGIz0NC0ffuPa-ivdH1fBC5y2whSZqUXEjUw4mODaJ4BwTXLChhEApOeQGM8WxXZL8__u3xaePehhhakZPQZMGodYZT1Q8CMV_xQxSI7IVw5xdH1bUbTP/w640-h366/Screen%20Shot%202022-12-08%20at%204.20.30%20PM.png" width="640" /></a></div><p>After mostly finishing the 18 styles of NarrowWay, I decided to add a true lowercase to the widest of the three weights, and then also added the lower case letters to the other two widths. I spun these styles out as a new family, NarrowPath. The letters are formed from a circle with a notch or nick taken out, a shape that reminds me of a partial lunar eclipse. Half of the family have the nick on the left and half on the right. The faces are monospaced and there is no space between most of the letters so the filled styles cannot be used alone without tweaking. There are several ways to tweak them to make them readable: adjacent letters can be colored differently, the characters spacing can be increased, or an outlined style can be layered on top of the filled letters. The family does not have a true lower case. Most of the characters in the lower-case slots are alternates for those on the upper-case keys and they can be mixed in whatever way the user finds best. The family has twelve members: two orientations with three weights each and each of these six has an outline style to go with it.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYkAvWY-rb_tUMOD8luRxbu9h7WwnmeCQoqALAgi9q224DJ1kuXPah7138EdPrGXiPR1qa67E8VsLv-Dr1K4IlmJ0Bzi2ujVjwe0UX3_2F5K2ZSxAszaK8w473G6D3KlEhO9Bcui_9YgcxRU_RGPd0CqVJ5EwXIwd_dz-tVbSdpZiJOFin9hC6kXLH/s999/Lunanic.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="598" data-original-width="999" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYkAvWY-rb_tUMOD8luRxbu9h7WwnmeCQoqALAgi9q224DJ1kuXPah7138EdPrGXiPR1qa67E8VsLv-Dr1K4IlmJ0Bzi2ujVjwe0UX3_2F5K2ZSxAszaK8w473G6D3KlEhO9Bcui_9YgcxRU_RGPd0CqVJ5EwXIwd_dz-tVbSdpZiJOFin9hC6kXLH/w640-h384/Lunanic.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>Lunanic is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/lunanic" target="_blank">fontspring</a> and <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/collections/lunanic-font-ingrimayne-type?tab=individualStyles" target="_blank">myfonts</a>.</p><p>Font families expanded in 2022 include <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/sjurecord" target="_blank">SJURecord</a> (1 to 4), <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/abagailjackson" target="_blank">AbagailJackson</a> (1 to 4), <a href="http://mandrill.fontspring.com/track/click/30833819/www.fontspring.com?p=eyJzIjoiUVRlTVlMSW8yOEJwSURFR283U2I3UDQ5RFB3IiwidiI6MSwicCI6IntcInVcIjozMDgzMzgxOSxcInZcIjoxLFwidXJsXCI6XCJodHRwczpcXFwvXFxcL3d3dy5mb250c3ByaW5nLmNvbVxcXC9mb250c1xcXC9pbmdyaW1heW5lLXR5cGVcXFwvdGFsbG93ZWVuXCIsXCJpZFwiOlwiNWM3MjIyZDBiNDczNDQxNzkxMjkzOGM1MGFkYThjM2RcIixcInVybF9pZHNcIjpbXCIyOWUwMTRjYmU5MTAwMmFlYWQ5ZDQxNGM3ZDdjOTFlYjM2YzcwMDA1XCJdfSJ9" target="_blank">Talloween</a> (1 to 4), <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/iansegoe" target="_blank">IanSegoe</a> (1 to 2), <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/betteringriana" target="_blank">BetterIngriana</a> (6 to 10), & <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/kampingriana" target="_blank">KampIngriana</a> (5 to 10).</p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-71469813175354721992022-07-17T05:20:00.001-07:002022-07-17T05:20:50.073-07:00Complements, not compliments<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQFlO0eHla4YWB83mKtMPDMaULhGpWPs343uPHnpnZseJ01nkB2lST03w0xIn1hgxn6shuBn_eJJaEhHQqR0WtoDZq9rBk3aJqk9HvtjkMxTAujqBiSSIzK26RJo8U2zeIl8dI8g8lEv96xxC4H8qxjKs3FMXM0DktuBCj--IE9cz7HH7349CeAjPC/s567/Screen%20Shot%202022-07-12%20at%209.09.39%20AM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="115" data-original-width="567" height="130" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQFlO0eHla4YWB83mKtMPDMaULhGpWPs343uPHnpnZseJ01nkB2lST03w0xIn1hgxn6shuBn_eJJaEhHQqR0WtoDZq9rBk3aJqk9HvtjkMxTAujqBiSSIzK26RJo8U2zeIl8dI8g8lEv96xxC4H8qxjKs3FMXM0DktuBCj--IE9cz7HH7349CeAjPC/w640-h130/Screen%20Shot%202022-07-12%20at%209.09.39%20AM.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /> In the typeface family "Complements" two sets of characters complement each other, so much so that they work together much better than they work separately. The two sets are designed to alternate and this alternating is done automatically in applications that support the OpenType feature Contextual Alternatives. Complements is purely for show and display; it is a horrible choice for text. The spacing is very tight, which works well for very large point sizes. At smaller point sizes the user may want to increase character spacing. The typeface is monospaced. If the spacing between words is too large, substitute the non-breaking space (or the underscore) for the space character. Complements is geometric, bizarre, and hard to read, all characteristics that catch the reader's attention.<p></p><p>Complements comes in two styles, regular and outline. The outline style was designed to be used in a layer over the regular style. A few weeks ago I decided to expand that set of letters by adding lower-case letters and more weights. The result was SansduskiMono. Its high x-height and tight spacing make it better suited for display and decorative uses than for blocks of text. Having put the effort into expanding the original typeface, it was a logical step to modify it a bit more by creating a proportional family from it, which is called Sansduski. Both families have twenty members, with an outline style that complements the black style and obliques styles for all the weights and the outline style. Both are appropriate for titles, posters, advertising, and other uses that benefit from simple letter forms that are geometric and clean. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuCmBrl_EkApkwIi72PFE1hgBR8kHV9yf36kZow4q1WRKDcG990BiOgQqCb1Oqt_XVpviq7-cmg7-WPZb23NfakA0vINTEeL2MjicKfV_akML4iorFIbmCK6-jGmAobKwjQf6cjlvZ8EdGX82fJtmjiJ2bYZet05iTUG2dHoGBhoboDVFbOCpjvfgM/s769/Screen%20Shot%202022-04-13%20at%2012.07.09%20PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="518" data-original-width="769" height="431" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuCmBrl_EkApkwIi72PFE1hgBR8kHV9yf36kZow4q1WRKDcG990BiOgQqCb1Oqt_XVpviq7-cmg7-WPZb23NfakA0vINTEeL2MjicKfV_akML4iorFIbmCK6-jGmAobKwjQf6cjlvZ8EdGX82fJtmjiJ2bYZet05iTUG2dHoGBhoboDVFbOCpjvfgM/w640-h431/Screen%20Shot%202022-04-13%20at%2012.07.09%20PM.png" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: left;">Both are available from myfonts (</span><a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/sansduski-mono/" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">here</a><span style="text-align: left;"> and </span><a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/sansduski/" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">here</a><span style="text-align: left;">) and fontspring (</span><a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/sansduskimono" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">here</a><span style="text-align: left;"> and </span><a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/sansduski" style="text-align: left;" target="_blank">here</a><span style="text-align: left;">).</span></div><p><br /></p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-27799189454032570912022-04-11T02:02:00.001-07:002022-04-11T02:02:24.784-07:00TapeUp/TapedUp additions<p>TapedUp was a novelty font I designed in 2005 as a single-font family. I had used a template to produce several novelty/letterbat font with items such as hand tools and decided to use the template using a simple rectangular shape. The name was chosen because that shape could be a strip of tape.</p><p>In late 2021 and early 2022 I decided to add some family members. I created a bolder version and a shadow version, and then added oblique styles to yield a family of six. The shadow version can be used with the regular version to create two-colored lettering. Trying to update the family on myfonts encountered a problem as the file in their font platform seemed to be hopelessly corrupted and the solution was to resubmit it with a slightly different name.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsbLIXQe0EGAjVWQ5rqCmLLIbnzUK6J5Qgrlgv7K8aHwk6D41Tlnj16JE1Fxd57GNXbnQV0vtbBo5G530D9_JgbAKUVCV21LziK60L7nrf1suBHvYjsfle50yGH5PBzui4sQlcqudKDr3eeUl2jzulBBC5hi7TuxN8USKIq9vxMKyYhgiLwIuSIAdY/s644/Screen%20Shot%202022-04-08%20at%208.51.20%20PM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="491" data-original-width="644" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsbLIXQe0EGAjVWQ5rqCmLLIbnzUK6J5Qgrlgv7K8aHwk6D41Tlnj16JE1Fxd57GNXbnQV0vtbBo5G530D9_JgbAKUVCV21LziK60L7nrf1suBHvYjsfle50yGH5PBzui4sQlcqudKDr3eeUl2jzulBBC5hi7TuxN8USKIq9vxMKyYhgiLwIuSIAdY/s16000/Screen%20Shot%202022-04-08%20at%208.51.20%20PM.png" /></a></div><br /><p>TapedUp is available at <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/taped-up" target="_blank">FontSpring</a> and TapeUp is available at <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/tape-up/" target="_blank">Myfonts</a>.</p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-41230008948410775112022-03-15T09:33:00.000-07:002022-03-15T09:33:59.926-07:00Two more alternating-characters fonts<p>In February and March I added teo more alternating-character fonts, fonts that are designed to alternate two sets of characters. Weaving could be considered a condensed version of Woven, though it does not have the tessellation properties of Woven. It comes in three styles, a thin, regular, and outline. The outline style was designed to fit over the regular style in a layer. Weaver is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/weaving" target="_blank">fontspring</a> and <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/weaving/" target="_blank">myfonts</a>.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj9_PzOLGKNbteyYuRjS8QioM0A0FryBYxqXwFReQ7jCEkbdR-_5F8IXh48SNWg5g4gkJ60vGBW8WwPTAJmctKnVk4G_rXu1Yv9Hfmv-vu24a8gcA3k06HrBwzlShC2eGEgErkPbEsK7168hNyXyAi1cNTXFP-EaKtdSu1T4SUlOUX9a5VKhpqQrUuJ6w=s807" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="231" data-original-width="807" height="184" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj9_PzOLGKNbteyYuRjS8QioM0A0FryBYxqXwFReQ7jCEkbdR-_5F8IXh48SNWg5g4gkJ60vGBW8WwPTAJmctKnVk4G_rXu1Yv9Hfmv-vu24a8gcA3k06HrBwzlShC2eGEgErkPbEsK7168hNyXyAi1cNTXFP-EaKtdSu1T4SUlOUX9a5VKhpqQrUuJ6w=w640-h184" width="640" /></a></div><p>FangsALot is a family of nine faces. The template shape on which all are based is a distorted triangle that resembles a curved tooth or a fang. The shape has four orientations from flipping and two are used for regular style and two for an italics style. Midway between these styles is an isosceles triangle and it is used for a third style. I did not think the fang motif came through clearly in these three fonts so decided to fill the fang shape with simple sans-serif characters and then reverse colors to allow layers. Because no one else has filled it, I decided I would. So far in 2022 I have released five typeface families into this niche, including the four below.</p><p>LoveDuets is similar to <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/12/balance-harmony-and-new-font.html" target="_blank">YinYangMessages</a> and <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/12/a-return-to-calt.html" target="_blank">ButterflyWings</a> in that it fills a single image with two letters. One set of characters fills the left side of a heart and the other set fills the right side. The OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives does this automatically in applications that support it. There are several typefaces that put letters on hearts, but they all put one letter on one heart. The LoveDuets family has two styles that can be used in layers. It is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/loveduets" target="_blank">fontspring</a> and <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/love-duets/" target="_blank">myfonts</a>.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi0HL7u6bJcQnlGRszkoFHZ0FJUYmQDYlqCxwLog9yE3FUVUWge0iH5GIsK2YTfgrwhsjDT6nliDJVuOho-j4WHUCstUf2SW_8KWL-7JYXoPSMezFuPdpwKDH6O5CrdZijaNzzkQ-nGyYA_nBf7G3klOUgajovroUVnGsp3SDPShbBaFw-LDelv52jVBg=s450" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="217" data-original-width="450" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi0HL7u6bJcQnlGRszkoFHZ0FJUYmQDYlqCxwLog9yE3FUVUWge0iH5GIsK2YTfgrwhsjDT6nliDJVuOho-j4WHUCstUf2SW_8KWL-7JYXoPSMezFuPdpwKDH6O5CrdZijaNzzkQ-nGyYA_nBf7G3klOUgajovroUVnGsp3SDPShbBaFw-LDelv52jVBg=s16000" /></a></div><p>I started IMPuzzled a couple years ago but shelved it as I worked on other typefaces. This year I finally finished this family that puts letters on interlocking puzzle pieces. I have found one other font with letters on puzzle pieces, but its pieces are all identical. IMPuzzled has two styles and is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/impuzzeled">Fontspring.</a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhFoX3o_Z_eAz26WMqxfRX3FErCgbjBiyS_Ee7dBOli9UMg1mUkpA9OyRAmaWSd-q5-r9KEwyRReH8DiKj4vW3EyfZ_tz5IKwRp5VdD7dCQRUnUnEPNR0fpnVnb3D_7Fu8bRGpOiHjFuJrkuDBVOrsPhR-rTvUWlGapggcngI5ZhjX4SMBlMTY2rjrt1w=s450" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="300" data-original-width="450" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhFoX3o_Z_eAz26WMqxfRX3FErCgbjBiyS_Ee7dBOli9UMg1mUkpA9OyRAmaWSd-q5-r9KEwyRReH8DiKj4vW3EyfZ_tz5IKwRp5VdD7dCQRUnUnEPNR0fpnVnb3D_7Fu8bRGpOiHjFuJrkuDBVOrsPhR-rTvUWlGapggcngI5ZhjX4SMBlMTY2rjrt1w=s16000" /></a></div><p>Woven was the first typeface I designed intentionally using a shape that tessellates as a framework in which to form letters. Like Woven, Billowed uses the framework of a simple tessellation pattern to form letters. Both Woven and Billowed can create lettering with a wave or ripple both horizontally and vertically. Woven has two styles and Billowed four. I have not seen any other typeface that resembles these faces. Billowed is available <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/billowed" target="_blank">here</a> and Woven <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/woven" target="_blank">here</a>.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgAHUnajPTqhh-Uoz42qwHzztGg-H4L_l2bgvwQ8SIcF9nOTaM2GeYpEGVQ-UR2cLdkHh6oX7PFozT7Z9k5iowfAMhEHp_qP2a-xsjDGUuCFTM08vznnpEjZdX4yteUz9FOIgbQyawt_ZpwEwrDW7TM8HMextC4bYgUNDVDkG6pDcUaXVVo__nf_AtcTA=s806" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="274" data-original-width="806" height="218" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgAHUnajPTqhh-Uoz42qwHzztGg-H4L_l2bgvwQ8SIcF9nOTaM2GeYpEGVQ-UR2cLdkHh6oX7PFozT7Z9k5iowfAMhEHp_qP2a-xsjDGUuCFTM08vznnpEjZdX4yteUz9FOIgbQyawt_ZpwEwrDW7TM8HMextC4bYgUNDVDkG6pDcUaXVVo__nf_AtcTA=w640-h218" width="640" /></a></div><p>For the complete catalog of my alternating letter fonts, see <a href="http://ingrimayne.com/fonts2/alternating.htm" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-48241141595111183552022-01-25T17:45:00.001-08:002022-01-25T17:54:32.225-08:00SlipperyFishes<p>In later 2021 I used alternating letters to give a line of text a wave. (See <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2021/11/five-more-alternating-letter-font.html" target="_blank">Undulate</a>.) I realized that instead of having the waves on the top and bottom parallel to each other, I could have them reflect each other. This design idea gave birth to SlipperyFishes. The strange name came about because the look of a line of text reminded me of a slippery fish.</p><p>SlipperyFishes is monospaced with tight letter spacing to accentuate the ripple pattern. The family has four members: regular, outlined, condensed, and condensed outlined. The outline styles that can be used in a layer with their base styles to add color. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjs8KQbWk4qbWKnqALrWfphA9YHxa06D9vO9z-7G4o2Cpz2UpGeGElQcbD9fanDy0XaO8jbZ6JwYgyICqcqvoARRogR_Em0hb_ODO0nCAaPaAhH0ennT9dg93o68Mt-MUJqxFsfVgeFZqN7c5nnoVi1C2IL12xybNokVlF0uilG9oAvNnC3UrOzgQU0=s663" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="332" data-original-width="663" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjs8KQbWk4qbWKnqALrWfphA9YHxa06D9vO9z-7G4o2Cpz2UpGeGElQcbD9fanDy0XaO8jbZ6JwYgyICqcqvoARRogR_Em0hb_ODO0nCAaPaAhH0ennT9dg93o68Mt-MUJqxFsfVgeFZqN7c5nnoVi1C2IL12xybNokVlF0uilG9oAvNnC3UrOzgQU0=s16000" /></a></div>Slipperyfishes is available from <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/slippery-fishes/" target="_blank">myfonts</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/slipperyfishes" target="_blank">fontspring</a>.<div><br /></div><div>A completely unrelated note: Myfonts listed their top 25 new fonts from 2021. As the name suggests, it is a monospaced family that can create striped text, with a stripe different from other striped text. The stripe is not apparent in a single character but only becomes visible when members of the family are properly layered. Two of the four family members, the regular and outline styles, look ordinary. The other two contain half letters and these create the striped effect when properly layered over the regular or outline styles. The sample in the illustration shows the stripe. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Ez_BArSUo1ELk9dwodoKt91dwXY-SrdYw9EzdMMnwc5qe9BPILkIsUcs3RbPqv_rT1L5gagLg7A3nFXqQdVvPS9RpBJkEEefEUzXSBesUBnxhyjxq3dnZ2KYgwtuSQgYTuhMXvfqtQLw/s400/BigStripesMonoFlag.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1Ez_BArSUo1ELk9dwodoKt91dwXY-SrdYw9EzdMMnwc5qe9BPILkIsUcs3RbPqv_rT1L5gagLg7A3nFXqQdVvPS9RpBJkEEefEUzXSBesUBnxhyjxq3dnZ2KYgwtuSQgYTuhMXvfqtQLw/s16000/BigStripesMonoFlag.png" /></a></div><div><br /></div>This use of contextual alternatives is completely different from my past uses. I began with letters forced into a two complementary template shapes: <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/03/poultrysign.html" target="_blank">PoultrySign</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/04/new-font-family-caltic.html" target="_blank">Caltic</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/04/new-font-lentzers.html" target="_blank">Lentzers</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/05/more-fun-with-calt-snuggels.html" target="_blank">Snuggles</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/12/letters-almost-kissing.html" target="_blank">CloseTogether</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2021/09/new-font-family-zoidicfun.html" target="_blank">ZoidicFun (Trapezoidal)</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2021/08/mostly-alternating-characters.html" target="_blank">Lopsickles,</a> and <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/04/new-font-family-hexonu.html" target="_blank">Hexonu</a>. I also did ordinary letters on complementary objects: <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/05/new-font-family-vinetter.html" target="_blank">Vinetters</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/05/new-font-brightideas.html" target="_blank">BrightIdeas</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/04/new-fonts-eggad-and-ribbonetter.html" target="_blank">Eggad</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/05/a-farewell-to-calt.html" target="_blank">Coffinated</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/04/new-fonts-eggad-and-ribbonetter.html" target="_blank">Ribbonetters</a>, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/12/balance-harmony-and-new-font.html" target="_blank">YinYangMessages</a>, and <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2021/11/five-more-alternating-letter-font.html" target="_blank">Zigzaggy</a>. Similar were letters on objects with mirror symmetry: <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/12/a-return-to-calt.html" target="_blank">ButterflyWings and OpenBook</a>. From September into November I worked on five more typefaces that use the OpenType feature of Contextual Alternatives (calt) to automatically alternate letter sets. Unlike many of my past efforts in which the sides of letters snuggle together, these five have vertical sides and the two sets of characters differ from each other on their tops and bottoms.</p><p>Bihext is based on a bisected hexagon. It comes in two styles, a filled and an outlined style. It is available from <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/bihext/" target="_blank">myfonts</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/bihext" target="_blank">fontspring</a>. </p><p>The letters of Bannetters are formed on <span style="background-color: white;">parallelograms</span>, one set sloping downward to the right and the other sloping upward to the right. The result of alternating them is a zigzaggy string of words. Bannetters has two styles, one with squared edges and the other that rounds the outside of letters that are usually curved. It is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/bannetters" target="_blank">fontspring.</a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYbQ55Dx5SvF1BA6fRD9gBN-aLg3vcdlbsuD4i7G_o3QOLwAOR1GL2YXl6evSc8RkG0lZ5-ZFqv8yY2LUCXpAIRjuqzXo5sCPpYbLeNlvUsjdX3bp-CwUGVY-o4-_Ri93VTOMawtXMrNjb/s568/5More.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="479" data-original-width="568" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYbQ55Dx5SvF1BA6fRD9gBN-aLg3vcdlbsuD4i7G_o3QOLwAOR1GL2YXl6evSc8RkG0lZ5-ZFqv8yY2LUCXpAIRjuqzXo5sCPpYbLeNlvUsjdX3bp-CwUGVY-o4-_Ri93VTOMawtXMrNjb/s16000/5More.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br /></div></div><div>A third typeface is Zigzaggy. It has letters on diamond-shaped <span style="background-color: white;">parallelograms</span> that are formed by trisecting a regular hexagon. It comes in four styles: black letters on blank shapes, blank letters on black shapes, and two that alternate these two possibilities. It is available from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/zigzaggy" target="_blank">fontspring.</a></div><div><br /></div><div>A fourth family is the wavy font family Undulate. One set of letters bulges upward and the other sets bulges downward. The result is wavy text or text that resembles a washboard road. It has two styles, a solid and an outlined style. It is available from <a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/undulate/" target="_blank">myfonts</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/undulate">fontspring</a>.</div><div><br /></div><div>Finally, Undulated is also wavy but the peaks and valleys of the waves are at the right and left sides of the letters rather than in the middle as in Undulate. It seems to have a more chaotic appearance than Undulate, perhaps because its letters lack the symmetry that some of the letters in Undulate have. Another font, <a href="https://nohypetype.blogspot.com/2020/03/poultrysign.html">PoultrySign</a>, was also formed from a pattern of alternating trapezoidal letters, but those trapezoids were symmetric while those of ZoidicFun are asymmetric.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-UCmzhq-fhs8zf1f9rLgeGB7U33tDb3qB9OoKuCtl9CUS3woantHlRWEECfXRavduHrr7FO3U9neZqdG0l8_x9DP-ZeqCd0oxII5w1dSLo3k4v1CMaAtwDiMfsoT9TzBqETUITIE2M68/s1213/ZoidicNew.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="721" data-original-width="1213" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-UCmzhq-fhs8zf1f9rLgeGB7U33tDb3qB9OoKuCtl9CUS3woantHlRWEECfXRavduHrr7FO3U9neZqdG0l8_x9DP-ZeqCd0oxII5w1dSLo3k4v1CMaAtwDiMfsoT9TzBqETUITIE2M68/w640-h380/ZoidicNew.png" width="640" /></a></div>ZoidicFun has five weights and two orientations. An italics version of each weight is formed by flipping the templates over a vertical line. In the picture above, the second and fourth lines are italic styles.<p></p><p>ZoidicFun is hard to read and very tightly spaced to accentuate the way the letters tile together. The letters are monospaced, which makes the pattern of trapezoids more obvious. Notice that pairs of letters form rectangles. All of these attributes make the typeface stand out and command attention. It is useless for text but can be useful for when a short bit of text needs to draw attention, as in titles or advertising. It is <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/zoidicfun" target="_blank">available from fontspring</a>.<br /></p>Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-8734368153258017752021-09-03T03:39:00.000-07:002021-09-03T03:39:56.348-07:00Ovaltown<p>Ovaltown is a strange, bizarre typeface family in which the letters are derived from ovals. Recently I thought that alternating bottom-heavy letters with top-heavy letters might be interesting. I based the letter shapes on a distorted oval or egg shape, with the stoke narrowing at the narrow end and widening at the wide end. After doing two sets of letters based on the shapes of upper-case letters (A & B), I added two more sets based on lower-case shapes (c & d). These four sets of letters are arranged to form six different fonts, four of which are spaced for alternating character sets (AB, Ad, Bc, & cd). In the picture below, the first two lines are of the two sets of letters that do not alternate, one with the top-heavy characters (Ac) and the second with the bottom-heavy characters (Bd). The other four alternate the four sets of characters.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4LUd47y0uKEMWvHi_k5DEX4zXAZl8XCyZIw4Pffl7rZG_wO84X3ekRNebIJJxqX1knA2HL5Y-B2uvD8zn6KonUhGIEOQYIV5sRBIFHWw20U_jqDfPOuNxzXOtu6VUJdodRFDbw-dpoLY/s861/Screen+Shot+2021-08-13+at+2.34.01+PM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="598" data-original-width="861" height="444" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4LUd47y0uKEMWvHi_k5DEX4zXAZl8XCyZIw4Pffl7rZG_wO84X3ekRNebIJJxqX1knA2HL5Y-B2uvD8zn6KonUhGIEOQYIV5sRBIFHWw20U_jqDfPOuNxzXOtu6VUJdodRFDbw-dpoLY/w640-h444/Screen+Shot+2021-08-13+at+2.34.01+PM.png" width="640" /></a></div><div>I considered doing outlined versions, but the narrow parts of the letters do not allow an interior. Instead I created an inset style for each of the six fonts that can be layered above the base font to create hollow or colored letters. They are shown in red in the picture above.</div><p>The result is a typeface family very different from any other that I am aware of. The bold version was first, and then a thinner version followed. It is a condensed font with a very high x-height that makes it work better as a display font than a text font. I have long thought an expansion with additional weights was desirable and I finally got around to doing it. The end result was a much bigger family than I originally anticipated, with a total of nine weights plus italics plus backslanted styles for all weights. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia3ZoUDkL7ZVH9MHwj1MzXmotLVA_RybvG6rr9ubW5lDhtSFk6c-CM7UgIcAH8wbfQlrm3W1dwYDoKBx6VEarLlERkjaTPqDsn8iU3j67QSqrrefGrhMr5DoxOURsXt2GBl3ncFax5Xd4/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia3ZoUDkL7ZVH9MHwj1MzXmotLVA_RybvG6rr9ubW5lDhtSFk6c-CM7UgIcAH8wbfQlrm3W1dwYDoKBx6VEarLlERkjaTPqDsn8iU3j67QSqrrefGrhMr5DoxOURsXt2GBl3ncFax5Xd4/s16000/MyhotaFlag.png" /></a></div><br />Because Myhota was not very useful for text, in the early 1990s I attempted to alter it by lowering its x-height and widening the letters to create something that would work as text. The result was MyhotaHatched. It also originally had two weights. In 2021 I added an intermediate weight and italics, giving the family 6 members.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwQXbH6-q86hklPa-m5jUP79pkk5DHkJjufIGH316ZKtXND1Et7cCmUeZiBOS8kk4ysB38d1AO3a-LgFvt0rUSH1EBcqrH_ltQ0HO9GSqvYLjhi0JH7pNXGIBNZzSy84JyOXGKmD-oXY/s1089/MyhotaHatch.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="500" data-original-width="1089" height="294" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIwQXbH6-q86hklPa-m5jUP79pkk5DHkJjufIGH316ZKtXND1Et7cCmUeZiBOS8kk4ysB38d1AO3a-LgFvt0rUSH1EBcqrH_ltQ0HO9GSqvYLjhi0JH7pNXGIBNZzSy84JyOXGKmD-oXY/w640-h294/MyhotaHatch.png" width="640" /></a></div>Both are available from myfonts (<a href="https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/ingrimayne/myhota/" target="_blank">here</a>) and FontSpring (<a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/myhota" target="_blank">here</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/myhotahatched" target="_blank">here</a>).Dessert Survivorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04616064444288249273noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3344809745711958227.post-23026536673050011512021-07-20T06:36:00.001-07:002021-07-21T10:37:05.415-07:00The biggest yet<p> Introducing JetJane, a family of 36 faces, the biggest family currently in the IngrimayneType collections.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBL5vTba7JrYH7VpQJO4BcZUGnhoejvC-LC9dFtXREw0G9RAl_r9RyUgWT1oxc3eHoiLUOAfvMyAP5ZgBUT92WcCLX_MaKQ1hBRR9N_SA-gmGxQNPUmtI0i0RgtSHUQnju24CVSqa-xAQ/s900/JetJane4blog.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="456" data-original-width="900" height="324" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBL5vTba7JrYH7VpQJO4BcZUGnhoejvC-LC9dFtXREw0G9RAl_r9RyUgWT1oxc3eHoiLUOAfvMyAP5ZgBUT92WcCLX_MaKQ1hBRR9N_SA-gmGxQNPUmtI0i0RgtSHUQnju24CVSqa-xAQ/w640-h324/JetJane4blog.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div>JetJane is a geometric sans-serif family. It is derived from <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/jetjanemono" target="_blank">JetJaneMono</a>, a monospaced sans-serif face. This development is unusual because one expects the monospaced variants to be created after the proportional variant, if a monospaced variant is even produced. This development history results in some distinctive differences between JetJane and two other geometric sans faces from IngrimayneType, <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/andrewandreas" target="_blank">AndrewAndreas</a> and <a href="https://www.fontspring.com/fonts/ingrimayne-type/yassitf" target="_blank">Yassitf</a>. In the past few weeks I added three variants to make a family of four. One variant was composed only of forks, another only of spoons, and the third only of knives. Below the three new variants are illustrated above the orginal typeface.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhONPgHi16FbLuS9oDH_HvNLF2XLNk9m-U9OHBRi7TM_qJaXFF3SBva7sR10gyUUK43t_p8oTmcPLVHLdsHAEQecmodxULYwku0NqzTxd54HWGLzOmd558w37Nw6jshLZmOHLmMSxTHqKQ/s985/Screen+Shot+2021-06-13+at+2.19.58+PM.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="516" data-original-width="985" height="336" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhONPgHi16FbLuS9oDH_HvNLF2XLNk9m-U9OHBRi7TM_qJaXFF3SBva7sR10gyUUK43t_p8oTmcPLVHLdsHAEQecmodxULYwku0NqzTxd54HWGLzOmd558w37Nw6jshLZmOHLmMSxTHqKQ/w640-h336/Screen+Shot+2021-06-13+at+2.19.58+PM.png" width="640" /></a></div>The orginal Dinner had small caps in the lower-case slots.
